Our Mission
Galaxy: International Multidisciplinary Research Journal is a peer-reviewed international open-access eJournal dedicated to advancing scholarly research in the Humanities, Social Sciences, and interdisciplinary studies. Founded in 2012, Galaxy has built a consistent record of publishing original, rigorous research that serves scholars from undergraduate through doctoral levels worldwide.
We believe that quality scholarship should be accessible to researchers everywhere. Through our open-access model, we ensure that financial barriers never prevent important ideas from reaching their audience. Every article published in Galaxy is permanently free to read, share, and cite — without paywalls or registration barriers.

Commitment to Quality
Rigorous Peer Review
Every article submitted to Galaxy undergoes double-blind peer review by three independent reviewers. Reviewers evaluate originality, methodology, argument, and scholarly contribution. Authors typically receive decisions within 15–20 days following the submission deadline for the relevant issue.
Editorial Independence
All editorial decisions are made independently by our Editorial Board based solely on academic merit, originality, relevance, and adherence to ethical standards. The publisher does not interfere with editorial judgment.
Publication Ethics
We uphold the highest standards of research integrity. All submissions undergo plagiarism screening. Authors are required to disclose any use of AI-assisted tools. We maintain full transparency in our review processes and handle conflicts of interest with care. Full details are available in our Publication Ethics statement.
Open Access & Licensing
Galaxy operates on the Budapest Open Access Initiative model — all published content is freely and permanently accessible worldwide. Readers may download, share, and cite articles without paywalls or registration. All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. Authors retain full copyright.
DOI & Global Indexing
Crossref Membership & DOI Assignment
Galaxy is an official Crossref member journal. From Vol. 15, Issue 2 (2026) onwards, every published article is assigned a permanent Digital Object Identifier (DOI) registered with Crossref — the world’s leading DOI registration agency for scholarly content.
As a Crossref member, Galaxy’s article metadata is automatically propagated across the entire Crossref ecosystem — hundreds of academic search engines, library discovery systems, citation trackers, and reference managers worldwide. Once a DOI is registered, your article gains immediate, automatic discoverability in every platform that indexes Crossref metadata — permanently, reliably, and at no cost to the reader.
Indexed & Recognised
Galaxy is indexed, abstracted, and catalogued in leading international databases and library systems, including:
Note on Crossref Membership: As a Crossref member, Galaxy’s article metadata is automatically propagated to all databases, discovery systems, citation trackers, and library platforms that are part of the Crossref ecosystem. No separate submission is required; discoverability is activated the moment a DOI is registered.
