Frequently Asked Questions
Can I submit in a language other than English?
No. Galaxy is an international English-language journal. All submissions must be written entirely in English, including abstracts, keywords, and Works Cited. Non-English quotations must be translated inline.
What disciplines does Galaxy cover?
Galaxy’s editorial focus is centred on the Humanities, Social Sciences, and interdisciplinary studies — including Arts, Literature, History, Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, Commerce, Management, Education, and interdisciplinary fields. Purely technical submissions in Engineering, Medical Sciences, Agriculture, Architecture, and Pharmacy fall outside the journal’s scope and will be desk-rejected.
Is there a submission fee?
No. Submission is free. The APC (₹2,595 / $125) is charged only after peer review and formal acceptance. You will never be asked to pay before acceptance.
How long does the review process take?
Review begins as soon as a manuscript is received, and final decisions are sent by the 25th of the issue month. The acceptance rate was 46% in 2025 and 43% in 2026. The review is conducted by three independent reviewers under double-blind conditions.
Can I submit a co-authored paper?
Yes. Provide all co-author details in the submission form. The APC is a flat rate regardless of the number of co-authors.
What happens after acceptance?
You receive an acceptance email with APC payment instructions. Once payment is confirmed, you receive a language report for final polishing and a request for your final manuscript. On publication, you receive the live article link, your Crossref DOI, and an official PDF publication certificate.
What is a Crossref DOI and why does it matter?
A Crossref DOI is a permanent digital identifier assigned to your article. It makes your work permanently citable, discoverable across academic databases, and fully integrated with the global scholarly infrastructure.
